It was refreshing then to watch something with a point of view. This film by Moira Sweeney was very well done, money was no object as they travelled from the Mississippi Delta to the Punjab and the production values were superb; the countryside, whether modified or organic gleamed in colour.

Cúrsaí Ealaíne had an intruiging look at the work that produced the ‘ghost’ lightship by artist Dorothy Cross. The item was an evocation of the lightship, now almost gone from our coasts, and the lives of the men who crewed the vessel, riding out the most viscous storms in engineless hulks reliant on the strength of their cables.
