‘Teens in the Wild is a superior contribution to a rather tired format, whereby a group of people are removed from their usual comfort zone and are obliged to confront new challenges in an unfamiliar environment -- in this case an outdoor activity centre in the wilds of Connemara.

It's superior because it doesn't play the usual reality-show game -- there are no manufactured confrontations here and there's no attempt by the makers to force issues or to encourage any of the participants to behave in ways that might make for a spurious sense of drama or that are calculated to induce in viewers feelings of outrage or titillation, or whatever.‘
